Founded by mother/daughter team Lori Diamond & Anelise Diamond Merrihew, Music Includes is a volunteer- supported organization that was created as a community-based off-shoot of Algonquin High School's Unified Singing Club. Unified Singing Club was  created by the pair in 2016 as the school's first inclusive extra curricular music group. Dedicated Special Ed teacher, Felecia Rutigliano was also intrumental in getting the program off the ground. 

As students started aging out of our program, we knew it was time for the club to expand beyond the school walls

so that all ages could access the experience.

Together, with our dedicated volunteers, we joyfully provide supported musical coaching and performance opportunities for individuals with and without learning, emotional, developmental, medical or gender differences. Our mission is to demonstrate and celebrate the value of INCLUSION. Each performance is an opportunity to redefine false paradigms about who and what is considered valuable in our society.  Our members uplift and inspire by sharing authentic JOY through music. Music Includes is opening hearts and minds while offering undeniable proof that everyone has unique and beautiful gifts to be celebrated and shared.
